LandlordAudit provides general information about private-landlord compliance obligations in England, a self-assessment questionnaire, and editable document templates ("the Materials"), built from published government guidance. The free compliance check and the paid document pack are information products.
We are not a law firm, no solicitor–client relationship is created, and nothing on this site or in the Materials is legal advice or a substitute for it. The self-assessment result is generated automatically from your answers and depends entirely on their accuracy. Every tenancy is different: you are responsible for checking that any document or step suits your specific circumstances, for verifying current requirements at gov.uk, and for taking advice from a qualified solicitor where appropriate — particularly before serving notices or taking possession action.
On purchase you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use and adapt the Materials for tenancies of properties you own or manage. You may not resell, republish or redistribute the Materials.
We work to keep the Materials aligned with published government guidance, and pack purchasers receive updated versions as later phases of the Renters' Rights Act come into force. However, guidance and law change, and we make no warranty that the Materials are complete, current or error-free at any given moment.
If the pack doesn't apply to your situation, email hello@landlordaudit.co.uk within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. By purchasing you consent to immediate delivery of digital content; this goodwill refund policy is offered in place of the statutory cooling-off right you waive on delivery, and nothing in it affects your other statutory rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by law: our total aggregate liability to you, however arising, is limited to the amount you paid us; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss flowing from decisions you take in reliance on the Materials. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including the right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to digital content supplied with reasonable care and skill.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
The compliance check runs entirely in your browser — your answers are not transmitted to us or stored by us. If you purchase, payment is processed by Stripe; we receive your email address and payment confirmation, never your card details. If you email us, we hold that correspondence.
Your email is used to deliver your purchase and to send you pack updates when the law changes (you can opt out any time). We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. We use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits.
